Who we are

The Skin Edit is a medical aesthetics practice at 215 Main Street, Westport, CT 06880, operated by AKURRA LLC ("The Skin Edit," "we," "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, skineditct.com, our online booking, and our phone and text messaging, and how we use and protect it.

Medical information you share with us as a patient is also protected under federal law (HIPAA) and is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, available on request and at our office. Information we collect

• Information you give us. When you use our contact form, call, text, or email us, we collect what you provide, such as your name, phone number, email address, and message.

• Online booking. Appointments booked through our website are handled by our practice management provider, Aesthetic Record. When you book, you provide information such as your name, contact details, appointment preferences, and any intake information requested.

• Phone and text messages. When you call or text our practice number, we receive your phone number and the content of your messages and voicemails.

• Information collected automatically. Our website, hosted on Wix, and analytics and social media tools (such as Google Analytics and the Meta/Instagram pixel) may collect technical information, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and how you arrived at our site. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not use website analytics or social media pixels on pages where you enter health information.

 

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments

• Provide treatment, follow-up care, and post-treatment check-ins
